Honey East, MD, FACP

After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in psychology, Dr. Honey East earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, followed by a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

 Dr. East is board certified by the ABIM in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism, and Internal Medicine. She is also certified in Clinical Lipidology by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. Throughout her career, Dr. East has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Cardiology, Diabetes Care and Pharmacotheraphy.

 She is a former associate professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and former director of UMMC’s Cardiometabolic Clinic. Additionally, she served as investigator and co-investigator for multiple clinical trials. 

 Dr. East prioritizes giving back to her hometown of Jackson and Mississippi’s communities, having served on the Governor’s Task Force on Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Prevention and as a volunteer with the National Stroke Association, the Arthritis Foundation, Grace House AIDS initiatives, and the NICU at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

 Beyond medicine, Dr. East serves St. Andrew’s Episcopal School as a Trustee on the Board of Directors and is a former member of its Capital Campaign Steering Committee. She is also a communicant at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and has devoted volunteer time to Stewpot Ministries, the Junior League of Jackson, and Rebuilding Together. When she is not actively practicing medicine, Dr. East cherishes the time she spends with her two daughters and son.

Christy L. Davis, DNP, FNP-C, CSOWM, CBN

Dr. Christy Davis, nurse practitioner, specializes in providing individualized, all-encompassing care. She has 12 years of nursing experience including intensive care, veteran’s health, sepsis, medical weight management, and working with bariatric surgery patients. She is a certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management and a Certified Bariatric Nurse.

Davis is trained to assess patient needs and partner with them in their journey to a healthier life. She is knowledgeable about chronic disease management, nutrition, and exercise counseling.

Davis received her DNP degree from the Mississippi University for Women, where her project focus was educating primary care providers about treating obesity. She has presented throughout Mississippi; educating other members of the healthcare community about obesity and treatment options.

Davis enjoys giving back to her profession and community. She is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association and serves on the board for district 13. She is an active member of the Junior Auxiliary of Rankin County. Away from work, Davis enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

With an extensive background in diabetes and endocrine health care, Warren evaluates patients’ needs and customizes comprehensive health management plans that promote a healthier lifestyle.
